easter

the girls definitely racked up this year when it came to easter candy.  i think when it was all said and done we ended up with three grocery bags full of candy...  ridiculous!  we took two bags to our business for others to enjoy and i kept one bag for my sunday school class.  here are a few pics of the easter fun.
kinda cute, kinda scary
the girls decorated their own cupcakes
and of course easter would not be complete without cascarones.  kelby and uncle cheez enjoy getting each other.
she even got grandpa
granny & poppa got the girls new lawn chairs

Cruisin'

Ok, I know this post is long overdue, but better late than never :)  The first week in April our family went on a cruise out of Galveston Island.  We had such a great time!  Jeff and I were a little worried that an entire week on a boat with a four year old and a two year old might feel more like work rather than a vacation.  That was not the case at all.  The cruise ship really caters to young families like ours.  It was amazing what all they had for young kids.  And even though my kids would not allow us to drop them off at Camp Carnival (which did not surprise me), they had several family activities that we could do with the kids.  We highly recommend cruising for young families like ours.

Our trip started in Galveston Island.  We drove there the day before and went to Rainforest Cafe for dinner.  After dinner we stopped on the strand to look for seashells.

Once on the boat the girls swam, danced to live bands and enjoyed self-serve ice cream stands.  I think we had ice cream after every meal - even breakfast!

I seriously have like 100 pictures of eating ice cream :)
They even and a build your own animal (think Build-A-Bear) type workshop.  Kelby made a puppy and Kevyn made a lion.

Our first port was at Montego Bay.  From a distance it looks beautiful, but as we bused to a resort for the day we saw a ton of trash on the sides of the road.  It was kinda upsetting because Jamaica has the potential for being such a beautiful place.  The resort we went to on the other hand was very nice and had a great beach.  The girls enjoyed playing in the water and swimming in their pool.

I love this picture!  Kevyn really enjoyed the daiquiri's :)

Our next port was Grand Cayman.  There we went to Boatswain Turtle Farm.  It was great and the girls enjoyed touching the sea turtles.

And our last and probably favorite port was Cozumel.  Once docked, we boarded a catamaran and sailed to Paradise Island.  We headed straight for the beach to secure an hut with a table and chairs.  Kelby and Kevyn had a great time walking up and down the beach looking for more shells and I enjoyed just relaxing in a chair watching them.

Baywatch :)

Our family had such a great time.  On the car ride home Jeff & I were already planning our next cruise.  And I'm constanty overhearing the girls play "cruise ship."  We can't wait to go on another!
